As member of the National Center on Early Childhood Development, Teaching and Learning, I create a variety of training materials and resources for Head Start professionals based on the latest research in child development.

​

Featured Accomplishments:

​

• Developed Head Start's first suite of American Sign Language (ASL) resources for educators nationwide, including:

  • Three webinars and three in-person trainings on how to use ASL​

  • Added ASL to Head Start's "Ready DLL" language app

  • ASL research guide for home visitors

  • Printable ASL manual alphabet and basic signs made by Deaf illustrator 

  • Four ASL instructional videos featuring basic words and phrases

• Designed and facilitated over 12 webinars and in-person trainings. Topics including:

  • The magic of music for infants and toddlers​

  • Imagination for preschoolers

  • STEM stereotypes and how to counterbalance them

  • Inclusive play

• Produced 4 professional training courses based on webinars.
